We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
- Lead matching: To route your quote request to a vetted moving partner in our network for your origin and destination
- Communication: To contact you about your move through Velvet Operations LLC or, where applicable, through the vetted moving partner we routed your request to
- Service delivery: To follow up on your quote request and confirm receipt
- Suppression and opt-out: To honor any opt-out request you submit at /opt-out, by reply STOP to SMS, or by clicking unsubscribe in any email
- Fraud prevention: To detect and prevent spam, duplicate submissions, and fraudulent activity
- Service improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve our website, content, and matching
- Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal process, including TCPA, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, and state consumer protection laws
4. How We Share Your Information
a. Vetted Moving Partners
When you submit a quote request, Velvet Operations LLC routes the request to a vetted moving partner in our network. That partner may contact you on Velvet Operations's behalf about your move. Your consent to contact under Section 5 below extends to this routing arrangement. We do not auction your information to multiple parties; each submission is routed to a single matched partner.
b. Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to operate our business, including email delivery (Resend) and database hosting. These providers only access your data as needed to perform their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.
c. Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or the safety of others.
d. Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
e. What We Do Not Do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to data brokers, advertisers, or unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. TCPA Compliance & Consent to Contact
By submitting your information through our quote request form and checking the consent checkbox, you provide your prior express written consent under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227) and its implementing regulations (47 C.F.R. § 64.1200) for Velvet Operations LLC, operating wemoveeverywhere.com, and the vetted moving partner it routes your request to, to contact you at the phone number and email address you provided through any of the following:
- Live phone calls
- Autodialed phone calls (calls placed using an automatic telephone dialing system)
- Prerecorded or artificial voice phone calls
- SMS/MMS text messages, including from automated systems
This consent is required to submit a quote request and use our matching service, but the Service is free and consent is not a condition of any purchase of goods or services. Message and data rates may apply to SMS communications. Message frequency varies based on your move timeline. We retain a dated consent receipt (see Section 2c) demonstrating that you affirmatively checked the consent box on a specified page at a specified time, from a specified IP address and browser.
How to opt out: You may revoke your consent at any time, with no further obligation, by:
- Visiting wemoveeverywhere.com/opt-out and submitting your phone number and/or email address
- Replying STOP to any text message we send
- Clicking unsubscribe in any email we send
Opt-out takes effect immediately. We will not contact you or route any future submission tied to suppressed contact information to a partner. We maintain a permanent suppression list to honor opt-outs across all future submissions.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of all data in transit using HTTPS/TLS
- Encrypted database connections
- Access controls limiting who can view lead data
- Rate limiting to prevent automated abuse
- Brute force protection on administrative access
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for up to 24 months from the date of your inquiry to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, handle any follow-up inquiries, and comply with legal obligations. Consent receipts (Section 2c) are retained for the same period to demonstrate consent if challenged. After this period, lead data will be securely deleted or anonymized.
Suppression list: Contact information added to our suppression list (Section 5) is retained indefinitely. Deleting a suppression record could result in the suppressed contact receiving communications they previously opted out of, which we are legally required to prevent.
Duplicate submission records may be retained for up to 30 days for fraud prevention.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, including your consent receipt

We use only essential cookies required for the proper functioning of our website (e.g., session authentication for administrators). We do not use third-party advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies. If we implement analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate notice.

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes to consent or TCPA-related terms will not retroactively apply to previously collected consent.
